Can anyone tell me how to set up an lcd tv through a SA 2000 (or whatever model would work in this setup) with mythtv?
Even if I could get a basic setup, that would be great. Here is what I am trying to do:
* lcd tv with hdmi to dvi connection to my video card
* SA Explorer 2000 set top box (only has component, usb and s-video though)
* pvr mythtv setup
I might have to upgrade my set top box to have an htmi to dvi connection? I'm confused about this topic, sorry. I can hook up my tv to my computer for using the tv as a computer monitor no problem. I have already done that to test and it worked okay but I had a 1024 x 768 res. However, I would like to use the hdmi to dvi for the tv programming and use a set top box (I think my options are the 2000 series I have now, 1840, 3250HD and 8300HD PVR). I was hoping to use something other than the 8300HD because I have mythtv to record programs instead.
I hope I chose an appropriate forum section to post this question. It's a combination of topics, I guess. But, my ultimate goal is to have my lcd tv, set top box and computer all co-ordinated for mythtv.
I initially had everything working with a CRT monitor but I now have an lcd tv to use.
