Comcast STB

All,
I just had my Samsung HL-s5687 delivered yesterday. I connected up the Comcast DVR (I have a 3416I) using HDMI and the screen said "weak or no signal" I used a second HDMI cable to make sure the first wasn't bad and got the same result. I switched over to component, which is not preferred since the TV only has 2 component inputs which I was using my PS2 and DVD player, and it works. Has anyone experienced this before and does it sound like I have a bad STB? I would much rather use HDMI to free up my component ports.

Call your cable co and ask them if the HDMI port is active, then tell them what you did!!

You should be able to check to make sure that the HDMI port is active through the diag. screens, I dont remember exactly where right now..... More than likely it is active, make sure your TV was on and you plugged the HDMI connection into the TV first to ensure good HDCP connection.
