SONY 40V2500 Help Please

Thread Starter
Hi,

Ive had some help here before but still trying to trouble shoot this. Just bought this set a week ago and I had noticed some weird white line at extreme top of set on some channels, especially on non full screen shows. Someone suggested adjusting picture settings from full pixel to normal - and it worked, the line was no longer there. But now, the picture quality is just blah. It just looks avergae. I am going to try and conenct cable to set using an HDMI cord instead of the component cords, but is there anything else I can do?

Someone suggested going back to full pixel and then moving the screen up to get rid of the line but I dont know how to adjust the screen up or down.

Any advice would help!

Thanks!

that white line is normal, it has something to do with closed caption. If you notice it will never happen during movies, only happens on occasions. All tvs do it.

Oh yeah, it only happens in full pixel because you are showing the true screen.
