Toshiba Triggering Protect on 2807

Hi All,

I have an HD A2 with my Denon 2807 using HDMI cables to hook them up. I use the Toshiba for CD's as I do not have a dedicated CD player.

When I am listening to CD's the receiver clicks then the sound shuts off for about 2 sec and then back on. I assume something is triggering the protect circuit but it only happens while playing CD's and never on movies, or while watching TV thru the Comcast HD tuner.

This leads me to believe the Denon is fine and a problem may lay with the Toshiba. I have re- attached all of the banana plus for all my speakers connections and am confident that there are no loose speaker wires.

Has anyone heard this happening with others

Are you sure its the protection circuit? Many receivers (mine included) will make a click and go silent for a second when switching to stereo.

mine does the same thing....

but its cause the tv, if the tv is shut on and off it cuts off the sound for about 2 seconds on my avr. I guess its something to do with hdcp once the tv is off completely it doesnt do it anymore
