Hi all! First I want to say what a great forum this is. So much valuable information and knowledgeable people.........I have recently purchased a new house and staked my claim on the large (20 X 24) Game room/home theatre room that our new house has. Anyway.....I am in need of help deciding on which A/V receiver to get. I currently have a Samsung 50"Plasma (1080i), Samsung R-135 upconverting DVD player, PS2, Wii and Comcast High def recorder box. I will probably be upgrading the PS2 to a PS3 in the near future. I do have an Ipod that I would like to be able to hook to it as well. I am sold on the Definitive technology brand of speakers, although not sure which setup I will be buying yet. Being that the room is pretty large, I'm not sure if the Pro-cinema series will "fill" the room. Thoughts on the StudioCinema series?? Or should I just piece it all together with different components from their line??? I have done a lot of reading + researching on the Net and have basically come down to 2 receivers that I just can't choose between. The Yamaha-HTR5990 or the Pioneer Elite 81TXV. Both seem to fit the bill for what I need. Prices are pretty close. Please help me decide on reciever and speakers.............Daddy needs a new toy!
