Hi all.
I have the Yamaha RX-V2700 driving a pair of Mirage M760 floorstanders I bought back in '89. These speakers still sound as good today as they did when new, which is great, but I'm looking for new.
Right now I'm leaning heavily towards the Rocket 850's. I'll be using a Mirage S12 sub. I also have a Mirage S10 sub if needed (building a new house with an open floorplan). Not sure about the surrounds as yet.
The Yammie does a great job right now with the old Mirage's, and based on what I've read, I'm sure it will also work great with the 850's.
Movie soundtracks are, of course, very important, but music quality is just as important.
So, my question is, would the RPA-1 *really* make a noticable difference/improvement over the Yammie driving the 850's?
Thanks!
Jack
