Hello all,
First time poster and new to the HD game, yadda yadda.
So, I'm upgrading our bedroom first of all areas since we do most of our movie watching in there. I've narrowed the choice down to the Samsung 3296. I'd love to try to force a 40" TV in the same spot, but the wife won't go for it (and it may be just a bit too large - shame there's nothing in the 36" range that's as good).
What I need to figure out is what DVD player to match with it. It will need to play DVRs (which I think most are good with now anyway) and should have HDMI output. I currently have a Sony NS41P that won't really fit the bill with the new Samsung. The folks at BB recommended the Samsung 860 as a basic fit. Is this a good unit? Do I need to spend more than $100-150?
Also, anything particular I should consider when upgrading the cable box? I think the 3296 has a tuner, so do I even need a new box?
Thanks in advance!

Actually... I made a few cardboard cut-outs for the spot on the wall and it looks like 32" is the sweet spot. Anything bigger may be a bit overpowering. The Sharp 32D62U has some great specs though - a bit better than the new Samsung.
