VGA to LCD connection / resolution

I have a native 1366 X768 resolution LCD. (samsung)
When using VGA connection I tried 1280X720, (720p)
and 1360X768 (which I thought is 1080i)

I get slight lag on both. I thought you are suppose to choose
closest to your native resolution. I would think 1280 x 720
should run quicker, but do not notice much of a difference.

I just want to run optimal, and eliminate lag.

Since your using VGA and your tv is native 1366x768. You would want to choose 1360x768. Thats the closest to your tvs native resolution.

1080i is 1920x1080i, you should not be getting lag with either resolution. Do you get lag when you hook up component and select 720p?

Lag on component set at 720p or 1080i

Lag on VGA set to 1366 X768 or 1280 x720 (vga is dark) but pic
quality is better..

Maybe its just the samsung LCD, maybe I should upgrade my router
to a dlink 4100 gaming router, It only laggs when I am on line in
xbox live.

If it lags only when you are online then it is your connection to live or the game, should have nothing to do with your screen then.

Do a speed test at Speakeasy.com and stop downloading porn in the back-ground while playing on LIVE.

some games are going to lag online no matter what.

i was playing graw online this weekend and on one map, every time a vehicle went up it slowed waaaaaay down.

like said above, concurrent downloading on other PCs on the network, internet usage, and xbox live downloads will all contribute to lag.
