Motorola DCT inputs

OK, I am new on this forum, but is seems to be the place to get the corrent answers.

I just picked up a DCT6416 from Time Warner(Los Angeles) and I am now maxed out on my inputs on my TV until I get a new LCD.

Anyway, I am running the DCT to my component in on my sharp tv. Now I have a slightly older DVD player that I would lik eto hook up to the DCT input, but I dont know how to access it to make it play.

I called Time Warner and they said that is nothing they can do and to call Motorola. So I call them and they say it has to do with the programming with the cable network. So now I have called both and no one has an answer.

I picked this box because it had the 2 inputs on it so I could hook up my extra components.

Any help would be great. I tried searching, but nothing concerning this came up.

Thanks,

Jason

The inputs are not functional. They are not supported by the software on the box.

Time Warner has no plans to support those inputs.

Thanks, I guess I will just take this box back and get the smaller sized one with the bigger harddrive.
