I am getting 3 yes network feeds on directv .
I installed the DVR directv unit on friday and tonight I was checking my custom settings
and discoverd that there is 3 separate Channel 622 . I entered them into the custom settings
and the following is showing: two broadcast of the same feed and the third one keeps
searching for a signal.

Any one have info on this, sorry if its been discussed before,
Installed the new receiver got me viewing the site again.

Forgot to mention that channel 625 my other NY sports channel also has 3 feeds and does the same
with two showing the feed and one searching for a signal.

The third one of both is the full-time HD channel. The other 2 are the SD version! You need to be in the NY DMA for the HD as it is spotbeamed in MPEG-4 format!

This just isn't fair! All because my apt has the old dish on the roof... I upgrade to an MPEG4, and it does nothing... and I'm on the spotbeam because I live in Hudson County.

All I want is the Full YES HD

And don't forget the ever so important 5 lnb dish!

How narrow is the spot beam ?????

I thought I was not getting the HD because the channel was only on
when there was a HD content show with the new season .

I have the 5 LNB just installed .

If no one knows is there a link to go to, dirrectv CS are not always on the "spotbeam"
knowledge .

Spot beams are jsut for a regional area, they do bleed outside the area and with an "address change" some outsiders do receive it. However, in Texas, you will not get a NYC spot beam.

Install your own dish on your balcony if it's pointing the right direction.

Not sure if I can bc my apt pays for the D* bill and has the contract out with them. Can I still install my own dish?

I did notice last night for the first time though that I do have 3 YES feeds, and I am in the spotbeam... I have the MPEG4, but only a 3 lnb dish.
