StarChoice's HD sat, AnikF2 will work well for you in LA, however the HD networks on it are from Detroit & Seattle. http://www.starchoice.com/english/le...mming/hdtv.asp

For Dish Network their dish 1000 covers three satellite locations 110, 119, and 129. This has all the channels normally available in Los Angeles. It includes local HD KCBS, KNBC, KABC, and KTTV plus the national channels such as the ones you mentioned TNT HD, ESPN HD, ESPN2 HD, HBO HD, and Showtime HD. There is a total of over 35 HD channels and 300 SD channels you can get using this dish.

If you call Dish at 1-800-333-DISH they will set you up with everything you need. Installation is usually free with a committment. If you want their excellent 622 HD DVR they will charge you an up front $149 or $199 but give you a $149 rebate. Again installation with all the equipment needed is free with a committment.

I have their 622 HD DVR and I really love it, it is a whole new world of HD viewing. I have been a Dish Network HD customer since Aug 2000.
