I just ordered the BD-P1200 from Dell,I will be running it though my Yamaha 7.1 receiver. Once I receive and review the player I will update as to my thoughts on the player. Any suggestions or features you would like me to comment on please let me know.

troutpond - did they give you a ship date? I was tempted by their reasonable price/no tax, but don't want to commit if they're going to be a couple weeks (e.g. they don't actually have stock).

To Moore, I ordered this evening 4/3/07 and its to be delivered before 4/18/07, I had to pay tax but free ship.

Today I went to a local Circuit City here in San Diego, CA and they had a BD-P1200 hooked up and running on a Hitachi ( ugh ) lcd. While the test disc looked very very good, it was running at 720p. Maybe the tv is only 720...I don't know. But like I said the picture looked very very good. I would have loved to see it at 1080p though.
Also, in store sale price is $699.00 until 4-7-07. That's $100.00 cheaper than any where else. I looked online and they were $799.00 and I called the toll free 800 number on they would not honor the cheaper price over the web since it's an Easter special. Also, when CC got them last week...all stores in the San Diego area, my guess is about 15 stores sold out in 2 days. They are all restocked now...according to their website as I checked the inventory at all the stores. So CC is getting them replenished quickly which seems like a good thing to me.

There is a sticky thread on the same subject. Could these threads be combined?
