Looking for opinions on this "short" list...
Arcam AVR350
NAD T773
Rotel RSX-1057
B&K 507s2
Emotiva Ultra series(not an AVR, i know)

want the best surround sound possible! under the $2500 mark.

used primarily for DVD and HDtv... not used for 2 channel much.
Gallo Micros system speakers 5.1 looking at moving to 6.1 or 7.1
any input or other AVR's I should look into?
thanks

B&K 507 S2... Own one myself!
I absolutely love it, however, there is no auto calibration mic, and getting the sound just right will confuse you if you don't know what you're doing (And I can't exactly say I fully understand it either.)
Out of box, it sounds OK.. but not excellent. You WILL want to tweak it.
But once you get everything going perfect, it's tits.
The highs... the lows... the dynamics! I absolutely love it. And it's a modularized system, so it's future proof! As it is, it can pass 1080p over component. And the second B&K releases an HDMI expansion on it, you just slide it on in. Same goes for whatever else comes our way in the future.
I say, go with the B&K.
... The Rotel is very very nice too.
