Ok, time to upgrade.......but to what?

Just picked up a panny 50" plasma. I currently have a 3 year old sony htib. So what I will be using/connecting would be the plasma, an hd/dvr cable box and a nintendo wii then of course the receiver and dvd. If I buy seperate components, what would you recommend.......or is there a decent htib now that would fit right in? CC had a denon/boston acoustics htib on sale for 899 that included the dvd/receiver/speakers/sub. Sounded great on lord of the rings in the store. In that price range(or less preferably) what is the best way to go for what I have. Not much music being played, mostly tv/dvds.

Do you think this setup would work well as a basic system? Would these polks be better than the velodynes that are on sale? thanks for any tips

Polk Home Theater Speaker System (RM6750BK)

Denon 7.1-Channel Multizone Receiver (AVR587)

Samsung Hi-Def Conversion DVD Player (DVD-HD860)

Could do what I just did, and pick up the Klipsch RB-51 system, and a nice Onkyo receiver! You wouldn't be disappointed. Ill let you know when I receive mine, should be here this thursday.

I doubt the Polks with 3 1/4" drivers and a 50 watt 8" sub would hang with the velodynes with 4" drivers and a bic 150 watt 12" sub, but you are also looking at $250 compared to $450. I have the same dvd player you are looking at running a 720p projector on a 106" screen and I think it looks fantastic. They get knocked around a little on the dvd forum, but I don't have any problems with it.
