My system just seems to keep growing...I love it!
Here are the goods so far...
Epson TW700 Projector
- I've been loving this projector so much. Pairing it with the HD-DVD player is unreal.
Elite Screens 80 inch Matte White pull-up projection screen
- I got this b/c it was cheap and to make moving easy. This screen is a step up from the bare wall, but it is definitely the weakest link in my setup right now.
HP LC2600N HDTV
- I've yet to see a small HDTV that I like better than this one.
Samsung BD-P1400
- So HD-DVD died on me and I had to get a Blu-Ray player. It was always in the plans, but I was hoping to hold out for the PS3 redesign. Oh well. The little sammy has been holding up alright so far. I haven't had any problems, though others have, so be sure to do some research before you buy one of these. When the redesigned PS3 comes out I'll be getting one of those.
Harman Kardon AVR-254
- This thing sounds awesome. Dialog is much clearer. Much more impact than my NAD T751. Haven't had any problems with it since performing the firmware update, but I don't have a PS3.
MB Quart QLC-404 (L, R) MB Quart QLC-304 (Center), MB Quart QLC-104 (LR, RR)
- I got these for a song from uBid and eBay. They sound great with the 254. It has no problem driving them. Though, I haven't pushed them real hard with the 254 yet.
AV123 MFW-15 On Order
- It's here! Initial impressions: WHOA YEAH! It's big, but I've got no WAF to deal with.
Dish Network TurboHD w/ DVR 722
- So far so good. I'm enjoying having TV again. I'm especially pleased with it's ATSC tuner. This way I don't have to pay for locals.
Mac mini HTPC
- Core 2 Duo, 1 GB, 80 GB, Got a deal on a refurb.
Nintendo Wii
- So much fun. You owe it to yourself to at least try one of these.
Toshiba HD-D1
- HD-DVDs look amazing. Also a good upscaling DVD player. Slow slow slow. This isn't even hooked up anymore. No room in my TV stand for it. I'll hook it up when I want to watch an HD-DVD. The only reason I'm keeping it is that they sell for almost nothing now and I have Planet Earth on HD-DVD, which is AWESOME!
House
- So, I bought a house. Unfortunately I bought a duplex for investment reasons, so I'm still "living in an apartment." I plan on putting an entertainment room in the basement at some point.
Wishlist:
- Tab tensioned drop down screen. I want a screen to drop in front of my TV and then move out of sight.
- 2.35:1 CIH Projector setup. The new Panasonic PT-AE3000 brings it into the realm of possibility.
