Which player

Hi guys...now please don't kill me, but as I'm not too familar with the HD players out on the market, I'm asking for your input as to which player to get. I already have a Blu-ray...so I'll be going to format neutral There are just way to many great movies out on HD.

My tv is 1080i ( not P ) so it really does not have to be a 1080P unit. Also...I'd like to keep it under $700.00. Thanks in advance for your input and suggestions.

You'll love the Toshiba HD-A2. You can get it from Value Electronics for $399 (Certified Toshiba Dealer) and they give you a FREE HDMI cable, 2 FREE HD DVD movies, double boxed and FREE shipping. Plus you get 5 free HD DVD movies from Toshiba.

Edit: You can to choose your five free movies from a selection of 15. Click here for details

You can get a XA2 on amazon now for 609, so why not get the most "future proof" one.

The Toshiba HD-A2 with 1080i output is all you need to enjoy HD-DVD with your set.

It can be had in a package from Value Electronic for $399 shipped with with 2 HD-DVD to get you started and 5 more by rebate. After all the free HD-DVD that is a cost of $260 http://www.*********************/Tosh...and_HD-XA2.htm

Or Amazon has the HD-A2 $357 shipping with a Prime account.

Depending on your receiver you can get the HD-D1 for $285 from amazon if you need analog out. This is Gen1 though so it requires a little more "love" then the newer players.
