Hello everyone,
Being a newbie to home theaters, I need advice from the seniors in here.
My primary goal is to have an HTPC setup. I have enough knowledge to handle the PC part of it, but need guidance in the home theater aspect.

Couple of months ago, I purchased the Jensen 5.1 channel home theater speaker set with powered subwoofer. At that time, I was unaware of the fact that I would also need an A/V receiver to drive those speakers.

While researching for a way to use those speakers with the computer, I prepared a rough plan of having a USB sound card, which would connect to a receiver through optical connection, and that receiver would drive the speakers.

Today, I came accross the JVC RX-D206B 110 Watts per Channel x7 Built-in Dolby Digital EX, DTS-ES and Dolby Pro-Logic IIx, AM/FM Tuner, USB Input, Home Theater Receiver (Black), which also has built in USB connector to connect it directly to the computer.

[Sorry, the site won't allow me to post a link to the specs. It's available on Amazon and bhphotovideo]

This one looks almost perfect for my purpose, and well within the budget. Although, I would appreciate if the experienced folk in here could give their expert advice on this receiver. Whether this would be a good option for me, or you would recommend a different setup for my HTPC plan.

TIA
