The nice thing about the high-end anamorphics is you get what you pay for. They are nice and hold their value. Ever see a IscoIII used? Nope, or extremely rarely. That lens can grow with you, and fit about any setup. If there's one announced for half the price, it will likely be much less of a lens, too. But I wouldn't worry about it, I don't see it happening in that technology. Ground glass is ground glass. Expensive. Unless you go the prism route and they aren't coming down, either as far as I've seen. Shawn of Panamorph makes nice prisms, but even though he's OEM'ing them, I haven't seen any sign of them coming down either. Even my older Panamorph P752 has held it's value.
