PANASONIC TH42PX60 - ok to game with and use as monitor?

Im down to two. Sony Bravia S200A, 40'' $1700CDN and the PANASONIC TH42PX60, 42'' for $1600.

I wont be watching tv on it, just 360 and games and movies, and PC use. The 1024x768 res on the Panny is enough for me, but worried about burn in. What precautions should I take if I do get it? And how exactly do you break in the image from out of the box?

That's funny. I *own* a Panny plasma, and I wouldn't recommend it for games or as a PC monitor, yet Panny is winning in your poll right now by 4-1. LCDs are recommended for games and PC use where burn in could be a concern. Sure, the plasmas of today are much better than a few years ago for burn in, but I view the real advantage of plasma over LCD in terms of better blacks and contrast ratio, which to me, is movie watching with the lights down low. Not doing computer stuff on it, or playing games on it.

You might want to quantify how much of each, to get more meaningful results to your poll.
