HDR-HC3 Issues

I currently own a Sony HDR-HC3 and I am using Roxio to capture the video on the tape. My computer only recognizes the pictures on the camcorder, but not the video.

What is the best way to capture video on this camcorder? I would greatly appreiate anyones help. I have a cable going from the camcorder to the USB port in my computer.

First, I don't know Roxio very well, but you need to read the manul and make sure it's capable of capturing HDV.... or at least make sure the HC3 is set to convert to DV through iLink.

Second, you can not capture video through the USB port... this port is for still shots only. You need to capture through the iLink port... better known as the firewire port. Read the manual.
