Moving into my childhood home starting Friday (buying it from Dad). Charter is coming out Friday to hook up the cable, internet and phone. Wanna figure out my setup so I can have them place the jacks (not that I couldn't change it later).
As you can see in the picture below, the room is almost wall to wall windows, that are almost floor to ceiling. They sit maybe a 1' off the floor and go almost to the ceiling, maybe 8'? The ceiling cathedrals to 10'H at the center (down the vertical middle of the image). The purple line represents where the cathedral stops, and a normal 8' ceiling starts.
I will be using a 60" Sony A2000 for my TV.
At first, I thought about putting it in the location mark OPTION 1, but that puts the fireplace (a real wood burning fireplace) to our backs. Then I thought about putting it at Option 2. Then I could see the TV from the kitchen/dining area. Dining area is the Orange Blob. Plus the fireplace wouldn't feel so left out.
The sliding portion of the slider is on the right, thus why I put Option 2 on the left.
Equipment will include;
Sony 60" A2000
Denon 2807 AV Receiver
Oppo 781HD
HD Cable w/ DVR
Speakers (2 fronts, 2 rears, center and sub)
Eventually I will be getting some new speakers.
Suggetions? Input?
