Help with getting Dolby from my PS3 to my Denon 2307ci reciever.........

I cant get Dolby Digital to play through it with my PS3. Do you guys have any ideas?

I also have the same set-up and no problems. I used HDMI. You'll need to go into the 2307 and assign the input as HDMI. You can also rename the function.

So go into something like VCR-2 and assign it to HDMI and then when everything has ben completed rename it PS3.

You are, but it shows as "Multi Ch In". I assume you connected the PS3 to the receiver using HDMI. If the audio track is in Dolby Digital, the PS3 will decode the DD audio and output to the receiver as PCM. The receiver doesn't do the decoding so you won't see "Dolby Digital" in the LCD. I wondered the same thing when I got my Denon 887.

Thats what I thought, but wasnt sure. Than you so much. By the way this reciever is awesome for the money.
