Too bad about the shake..., except for the minor shake...
I agree 100% about the shake, but that is why I started with "Real world"

in the description. Crowd shots are very hard to get right, so many things for the camera to focus on, people pushing from all sides, walking backward, holding the camera higher than I like... as with many things, they never go as planned.
Looking back there were 2 critical mistakes.
1. I noticed in the manual it says "we recommend setting the image stabilizer to OFF when using a tripod". I was using a tripod for the prior 10 shots and wanted to get the best quality, then I forgot it was OFF when shooting this clip. I may take another shot in a crowd with it OIS "ON" just to see how much it helps.
Question: What is the downside to just keeping the image stabilizer "ON" all the time, even for tripod shots? I am planning on this from now on.
2. I really need more experience in shooting "hand-held" video.
Some random thoughts on the HV20 when I review all the shots I have taken over the last week.
1. Even with a mono-pod, wide angle and OIS "ON" I notice the smallest camera movement.
2. The "CINE MODE" profile footage looked a bit dull and soft. Not the 24p, just the recording profile.
3. I love this camera and all the shots I have taken when the subject was less than 5 feet away from the lens and I was using a tripod.
Cheers.
