Parent-friendly remote?

My parents are extreme technophobes. I finally set them up with a nice HDTV and HD cable to go with their DVD player and VCR. Now they are having remote overload and problems switching between inputs, etc. They need a very simple, easy-to-use universal remote. I have a Harmony remote, which I love, but know that I will have to program it for them...tough from 3000 miles away. Is Harmony the way to go for them or is there something simpler? They literally just need to change channels and volume and be able to play DVDs and VHS tapes. Each device came with a basic, universal remote, but they have been unable to get one to control all devices.

Thanks

Actually, Harmony is ideal in this case: all parents need to know is how to update to a new configuration and you can program it without leaving your place.

I'd recommend the Harmony 670.

You can program their setup online and then talk them through installing the software and uploading the info to the remote.

The only problem is testing the remote though.
