Is it time to move on? i.e. the new 150 dollar players from sony etc. should play everything? Will I have same issues now and then in playing blu rays with the new 2012 generation players?
Throgh all its troubles this player still played most discs but I think it might be time.

Make sure you are downloading the updates from the Sammy support site and burning a CD to do the update. WIth several of the older Sammy players the online/network update no longer works or will tell you you are up to date but you are not. With the 5K it's been that way for the last 3 releases. Samsung just released new code for many of the older players within the past few weeks/couple months.
