That's exactly why. Why post something that isn't going to be a true help to someone else? And, btw, I've never told anyone they can't post their settings. Believe me or not, that's up to you of course. Using someone else's settings may help some, but it's still not going to get you completely there.
For example, for just the gamma setting alone, on one LN-T4661 I did I had to set the gamma to 0. The very next one I did, I had to set it at +2. RGB Bias/Gains are all different as is the contrast/brightness and everything else.
Obviously you're going to believe what you want, but I'm being completely honest here. I'm not an ISF'r. I'm just a guy who got into doing calibrations on the side. I do it at a very reasonable price since not everyone can afford to pay big bucks for an ISF calibration. But nevertheless, each TV is different regarless of the make/model. This I can assure you. From my experience anyway.
What I will do, though, is get the settings from two of my calibrations (both LN-T4661s) and I will post them in this thread. I don't have the courtesy rule myself, so I don't mind sharing. I have to get ahold of the guys to get the settings, though, as I don't have them in my records at this point. But as soon as I get them, I'll post them.
