Determining the size of the LCD to get?

I'm sorry if this question has been answered before, but I'm looking for a quick answer. What are the recommendations for the size of TV to get base on the viewing distance? If someone here can post a guide or some information to help me determine the size to get for my TV that would be great. Thanks!
