Game Crazy Extended Warranty?

Well, we went ahead and bought a 360 from Game Crazy. With their buy 2 games get 1 free and 12 free rentals it was a wash $$ wise between buying there or Walmart.

Current worries. I asked while there about the manufacture date. The guy told me 12-9-06. I get home and hook it up only to find out that the manufacture date is 9-21-06. I'm choosing to believe the guy who sold it is just dyslexic and did not purposefully lie to me..... That being said the manufacture date has me worried. I would have bought a different system given that date. The guy at the store also said I had a 1 year manufacturer warranty but the info in the pamphlet says 90 days?? Which is correct? Should I go ahead and buy the warranty at Game Crazy for $40?? Not sure how long it is even for. They did say that if there was any problem they just exchange it for a new one.

Anybody have much experience with Game Crazy and their warranty/customer service?

Don't worry about the manufacture date. My launch day unit is still kicking. I bought my extended warranty from MS.

I am on my second 360 just like everyone of my friends and it still acts up sometimes. Get the warranty from MS not gamecrazy. I will be extending my warranty as soon as it runs out. Im sure within a year I will be on my third 360.So will my friends who are on their second.

With the MS warranty don't you just get a refurbished unit? I'm wondering if Game Crazy really gives you a brand new unit or not.....

They probably would for the first 90 days, then they will tell you to go through MS. If you want an extended warranty get the one from MS, they are likely to be more reliable when it comes to service. But you should really go talk to the manager at your Game Crazy store to find out the real deal, if they will just exchange it for a new one with their warranty, then it would be worth it.
