Optical vs Coaxial - Page 3

ALL I can say is that I despise optical and I only used it when I did NOT have a better choice. I was tickled to death when I started using the HDMI out of my D* receiver instead of the only option called optical. Yes, I had a very good quality optical cable.
I like the secure and tight coaxial cable. Finally I get nauseated every time I read on different forums about the optical cable: INFATUATION.

Amen again! Has anyone mentioned the differenbces between optical and coax digital cable? It's my understanding that coax has wider bandwidth. I've heard the differences between optical and coax. With movies, I can hear the sutble nuances with a digital coax better than I can with optical.

And with music, it's like night and day! I've used the Audioquest Eagle Eye (dig. coax) and Kimber D60 a.k.a. illuminate and things really got interesting...by that I mean better. You wouldn't believe how much more musical things became with the Kimber digital coax. My equipment is Theta Digital Cassablanca III and Balanced Audio Technology (BAT VK-6200) driving Dynaudio speakers.
