Your Emotiva will be more than enough to drive the Model 6s. I run my 9s with an old Anthem MCA3 (170watts x 3). I don't think that is ideal by any means but I'm not a high SPL listener and they are crossed over at 80Hz anyway. The 9s are more sensitive than the 6s but you have more power on tap so its fair to say you should be ok.
As far as SQ goes.......I'm still on the fence about whether high-end amps make a difference and if so, how much, and what is that difference is worth. I've owned Classe CA-150 and Aragon 2005 and my trusty Anthem MCA3 and MCA5. I can't say with any amount of certainty that I prefer any one over another. The Anthem is the most convenient (on/off triggers) and accepts both RCA and XLR. The Aragon had a hum issue in my room so that's a no go. Classe......I didn't need it anymore. Sure, I lust over McIntoshes and Brystons but if I had 5K to burn, I could use a new PJ or some recliners, both of which will provide vastly greater returns than an amp would.
Get the 6s. Life's too short
