resize xbox360 image smaller ??

I am looking to buy a larger flat panel tv in the future. I am used to gaming on a 37" tv now and I am not sure if I want to game on a larger screen 50-60".

I would however love that larger screen for tv/sports/movies...

So my question is can I when gaming use a device to make the game screen reduce to a more enjoyable smaller size?

Will this device increase latency/lag ? Does anyone do this ?

thanks in advance

I use a DVDO VP50 with our XBOX360 and sometimes we scale down the size of the image (depending on the game). We have a 100" screen. On the VP50, we use the UNDERSCAN option and have it stored in one of the Profiles. We can then simply select this profile (with GAME de-interlacing options). Works great, but I'm not sure I would purchase a VP50 just for this as it is expensive! SJ

thanks SJ

I am not looking to spend a small fortune but what concerns me more is the delay added to 360 image. I play mostly FPS shooters' and any more lag would drive me nutz

I wonder if any tvs do this built in ?
