turning a sealed box into passive or ported?

got a jl audio sub and optimal sealed size box of 1.25 cubed, optimal ported size is 1.75
i chose sealed due to trunk size restrictions
sounds pretty good with rap but minimal with rock music and i seem to listen to more rock than rap which i knew beforehand but i think i would prefer it to be passive radiator or ported yet have the small box, especially since i already bought it and seeing i'm not pushing much wattage i wonder if i'd be better off altering it.

so 2 questions:
i have 2 old 6-1/2" klipsch subs i'm not using. what would happen if i stuffed the box with polyfill and cut 2 holes for those 6 inchers to use for passive radiator design?
or
what would happen if i just cut for a tuned port and used lots of polyfill?
and can i use corrigated flex pvc pipe (easy to cut and bend to achieve long size if needed plus i have some) or must it be smooth walled, i dont know how corregated ridges would effect airflow, maybe someone can simulate it for me?

would either one make it worse like more distortion or what?

for reference, i curiously googled around for corrugated pipe used for ports since i was thinking of using some that i have for that purpose and found a few that did use it, apparantly its reported to increase the surface area of the port sidewalls and reduce the strength of eddy currents. This, combined with the curved entrance and exit from the port, helps eliminate port noise produced by the speaker

so i tried it, made 2-1 3/4" ports 15" long angled 90 degrees down, ends were not flanged however and stuffed box with 13oz of polyfill.
it wasnt any louder, it wasnt boomy like most ported boxes, it was almost as tight sounding as before but not quite, what i found was i could increase the gain and bassboost quite a bit higher than before without distortion so in effect it is louder than before. i was very suprised it didnt have any port noise
i also noticed the ports didnt flow nearly as much air out as others do, perhaps too much polyfill but either its the corrugated pipe, polyfill or both helped it to cut back on distortion
so i guess i satisfied my own answer
