Seems like RED is a popular color- does it effect your screen color calibration ?

Not at all.

I'm having a harder time with choosing a color scheme than anything else in my attempt to plan a theater build.

You are not alone. I had no problem finding a contractor, picking out all of my equipment (minus the screen), lending a helping hand with the construction, but I am still uncertain of a color scheme. I was thinking of a chocolate brown with french vanilla trim work.

Best thing to do is find an existing theater you LIKE and copy the color scheme biggrin.gif

Exactly! Ask me what I like, I don't know. Show me examples, I can tell you if I like or not.

Being a graphics designer by education and a “whatever media is popular” designer by occupation. Colors and overall design were easy for me. But then I guess my forum "name" alludes to that.

I knew I was going to have dark colored wood and brown microfiber chairs so out of the available colors that would of coordinated with that a dark red was my favorite.

It just depends on what you are looking to accomplish with the room and of course your budget biggrin.gif
