ATI 650 DD 5.1 output problems

Hi all

I am using an ATI 650 to watch OTA HD. The problem I am having is in getting DD5.1 output. Regardless of the settings I choose, I only get stereo output. The odd thing is that when I record something, the recorded program DOES have DD 5.1. For example, I am watching CSI right now, and the recording I made of the first 15 minutes of the show has 5.1. While watching that same 15 minutes the first time, it only played in stereo.

Any ideas?

I am using an XFI connected via coax SPDIF to logitech 5500 speakers. I have all the latest drivers and bios etc.

NM - figured it out! Simple regedit tweaking was all it required.
booya! 1080i 5.1dolby digital with $10 rabbit ears. hahah
