I can't get DVE HDDVD to work correctly.. Having some playback issues - Page 8

They won't display at all on my E1 (1.5)...
That makes my DVE HD-DVD completely useless

I've been hearing around here that the 360 has a problem reading The Matrix discs (perhaps just the Ultimate versions?).

We kind of saw this coming though, didn't we? Even with the update the 360 seems to have severe problems with "combos". It seems to me that combos just need to be written out of the spec because they cause too many problems and alienate consumers.

You can use the back button or the DVD Menu button on the xbox remote to take you to the audio/video tests menu. Let me know if this does not work.

In regards to the tutorial, there is text next to each pattern for explanation, and if you are new to DVE, you can download the following doc for a more complete reference and tutorial.

You can also go back to the SD version on the other side of the disc as well.

I have the HD-A1 player with firmware 2.2 and HD DVD DVE works fine, no problems here. HDMI connection too.

Hi everybody!
I couldn´t get the HD side of DVE to work on my HD-XE1!?
The player just tryed to load but nothing happend and then it did not
respond to annything.
Only thing to do is to cut the power and start the player to get the disc out!!!!!
Tryed to uppgade firmware to 1.5 but that didn´t help.

Try FW 1.6

Were can i get FW 1.6?
And is it ok to uppgrade the HD-XE1 with FW 1.6? (mayby there is differences in US/European players?)

It's available at the Toshiba Canada site. I updated to 1.6 and the DVE HD DVD works just fine (using an A2).

hi has anyone got a copy of the dve hd manuals they could send me, got disc but link for manuals is down, actually whole site is not working, any help appreciated

My copy of DVE doesn't seem to work in my XA2 with the latest 2.5 firmware update. When I put it in, it keeps "loading" without starting.

Anyone else has that problem?

I too have problems with this disc. My copy of DVE will not show anything other than the demo material.

This is on an XA2 with the latest Toshiba firmware update while trying to view the HD side of the disc. I haven't tried the SD side (why would I, I'm trying to adjust the HD parameters of my display).

I have an A2 with the latest upgrade (2.7). When I pop in the disc it gets stuck in "loading" mode.

I try my DVE disc every time a new firmware upgrade becomes available, with no luck.
