Hello,
I bought the mx-3000 a few years ago to my local dealer in uruguay. That dealer dessapear. I cant find software to add to programing the new bluray and direcTV.
Im not looking for any special software update. Im looking only for and editor to update the programing.

well bought my mx 3g from tweeter prob 4-5 yrs ago and as everyone knows no updates well tweeter the great company that it was lol is out of buisness so i cant get any updates for new equipment soooo what do i do urc wont help

I have a problem similar to many here. I have bought my remote from a dealer (Twitter) AND had them program it. I got MX-3000 and MSC-400. For everything I paid $$$$. I need to fix power-on issue for a directtv receiver that was upgraded since then. After multiple calls to URC I am SOL. Dealers in the area went to a) sell me new stuff (mostly Control4) and b) charge me again $$$$. If a kind soul could PM me with how to get the CCP it would be much appreciated.

This is friggin' ridiculous. I can't download the software for a remote I paid a fortune for. I don't want to contact my installer I hated my installer. So, if anybody should feel so kind...well, you know the routine. Thanks.

Could I ask for someone to PM me a link to download the software necessary to program a MX-900? I've got multiple units that were previously installed by our local dealer, but only because of URC's inane software policies. I'm an avid programmer and could easily handle this myself.

Need help with my URC MX-3000...Was part of heritage from my past away father...Only with an old software version...Don t know from whom he did bought it from... So I cant get new updated software from URC... Any one to help me?

Guys, I am programming a MX3000 for an orphanage in Haiti. Their original dealer fell into the earthquake hole. Can someone send me the link to the updateable software for the children? It would be a shame if they went without. :-(

Can't say I'm trying to help any Haitian orphans, but I am in a similar situation to most others -

Bought an MX-980 a few years ago, from a non-chain store in my area, as part of a home theater install. I recently made a few changes to my system and need to reprogram the remote, but the store has recently gone under. Sadly, they had actually given me a copy of the software (mx980 editor), but I never installed it and the setup file is now long gone. I contacted URC for help and they told me the software is now only available as part of the CCP editor, which is exclusive to dealers/installers.

Anyway, if someone can help me locate a copy of the CCP editor, I would greatly appreciative. Alternatively, if anyone knows of a store in the DC area that will provide the software (as part of some sort of programming package, I suppose), that could also work.

Guys. I am a URC Dealer located near the Gulf. Due to high gas prices we are not providing our clients with a copy of the Programming Software. We intend to use profits from programming remotes to fund our gas usage until further notice.. :-(

I'm in the same boat here - Have an MX-3000 I programmed it myself and have had it for years - My PC blew up and I no longer have the software - I need to reprogram the remote and cant find the software anywhere - The dealer I bought the remote from is useless - I tried the link in the second page and it says you must be invited (the blogspot link) - If anyone can email me and help me out I'd really appreciate it - I do not think I will ever buy another product from Universal Remote again...

I have read this thread and also do not have the latest software. Is the software posted somewhere in this thread? Please let me know where. Or, is there a post that says, besides "go to your dealer", where to get this software?

At the top of page three of this thread, there is an url address to URC that suggests that the software can be gotten there. However, when going to that site one gets a 404 message saying the page does not exist. So, how does one get the editing software?

I saw post #100 and saw what he was referring to.

I just bought the mx-3000 secondhand assuming that the included disc would have the software, but all it had was pdfs of the manual. Any chance anyone can send me the software? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Sorry to bump this thread, I also recently got a MX-3000 used for a good price, little did I know, I needed the editor to program it and now I cant get it at all. Try calling them but no go. Can someone please send me the editor, the remote is just sitting there as of right now...

I am having trouble with charging the MX3000, the remote is about 6 years old and I had to buy a new battery 3 years ago, now if I disconnect the battery and put it back in the charger it will fully charge and takes about an hour, the next time I put it back in the charger the red light goes out in a couple of minutes indicating it is charged, but it is not, is three years the typical life of the battery.

I bought a MX-3000 but I can not get the software. I currently use the MX-900 and have been programing it on my own for several years. Can anyone out there help me find the MX-3000 software? Please....

All you need to do to get the software is email URC customer support and ask for it. They will send you a request form that needs the SN and other info about yourself. You fax it back or scan it filled in and email it as an attachment to them.

They will then send you a link that is good for 48 hours.

Download from the link then install.

The software will run on Vista and Windows7 but you cannot sync with the remote. You can Live Update by running the program as administrator. Does not matter that you are already one, Right click on desktop icon and click "Run as administrator". Works with 64 bit also.

If you are running Windows7 you can install Microsoft virtual machine emulator which will set up a virtual machine running Windows XP. Run the virtual XP machine and install the software there. All works nicely with this.

Please do not ask me to explain how to get / install / setup the MS virtual machine emulator, it can be downloaded from MS for free and you can get an explaination and instructions from them. There is some work needed but what are the alternatives if you do not have a spare windows XP box sitting around.

Hope this helps everyone who is looking for the software and how it can be used with newer windows.
