Yesterday's metered market over-night prime-time ratings - and Media Week Analyst Marc Berman's view of what they mean -- have been posted at the top of Ratings News the second post in this thread.

Now if any of you know people who are as interested in television as you are, why not copy the Hot Off The Press site link and email it to him or her (or preferably, them!) Let's get even more people participating here and joining the AVS family.

And keep checking in during the next few weeks to keep up with all the latest news about new, returning and cancelled shows as the networks gear up for their upfronts which start three weeks from today.

For the civilians among us, the "upfronts" refer to a series of meetings held by the networks mainly for advertisers to try to get them to commit money ahead of time ("upfront") for TV shows not yet produced -- as well as for returning programs in the upcoming prime time TV season.

The networks traditionally announce their fall schedules at the upfronts -- although those are always subject to change.

To answer an earlier question, my guess would be that "Heroes"will return with about the same numbers it had, maybe a shade fewer. I don't think it has come close to reaching the burnout point that seems to have afflicted "Lost".

(And I wouldn't be at all surprised if the ratings don't sctually improve a little.)
