The issue I have with almost all the "music players" is that they don't support increasing the playback speed. And since the vast majority of audio that I listen to these days are podcasts, the lack of that feature is a deal killer for me.
Luckily for me SMPlayer supports increasing the speed as well as a bunch of other features that I can't live without that other media players don't have.
Anyway, consider this a plea to all the media player developers to PLEASE add support for increasing the playback speed to your apps. This especially applies to apps that are also podcast aggregaters like RhythmBox, Banshee and Amarok (I think I'm leaving someone off this list).
