i dont get it. youtube insertion is failing. copied and pasted embed code between youtubeid. failed. wtf?

Embed a YouTube video. You only put the video ID in between the BB code tags (NOT the full URL or the code!).

Notice in the messed up code above the bold text...ATTN POSTER: YouTube Insert Error, in that line is a click showing you how to use it.

Yup...as you have learned, just the ID is needed. In the case above, S_1iXu-0E9o&hl , is all that is needed between the tag. The site fills in the rest.

Again, all you need is the video ID. Not the entire source code.

Too many embedded flash videos on a thread bog my browser down like crazy..

Most sites you dont see anything if you disable flash and view a youtube embedded thread,you just see an empty frame.....

There should be an option Dave to have this shown INSTEAD OF THE EMBEDDED FLASH in case your on dial up or IT BOGS YOUR BROWSER like it does me...... (Could be set from the UserCP)
