I use a qam tuner on my tv to get cable channels, so I dont have a box. I got it all set up and there is one channel that is coming out bad, abc hd. All the other hd channels are fine, nbc hd, fox hd, etc. Abc is the only one not coming out clear. There are occasional freezes of screen, distortion of audio, as well as impurity in the visual. I use a splitter to connect my tv, so I took my original line and hooked it up to my tv. The connection was still the same. However, when I went and took my tv to another line in the house, the channel was coming out fine. here is my question. Do i need a special type of cable, or is any cable fine. the cable is a little old, but the cable guy came a little while back andreplaced the old head witha a new gold one on the exterior line, which made the picture quality much better at the time (didnt have an hdtv then)The other cables that I have connected in the other parts of the house are silver. This one cable is gold. Is ther a specific type of cable I need. Or perhaps it is just too long? One other thing to note is that the coax cable that I have put into the splitter is a little bent. Could this be the reason or should I change the whole cable entirely?
