I did some checking of the HD-DVD version of DVE audio tests.
The full bandwidth pink noise signals appeared to be correct.
The narrow bandwidth pink noise signals did not compare well with Goldline or Avia from a frequency or level perspective. Attached are the test results for this comparison. Note the different slopes and levels. Both Goldline and DVE are supposed to be referenced to 75db SPL while Avia is 85db. Note that Avia is 10db higher than Goldline while DVE is about 12 db lower than Goldline. Looks like DVE did not fix the audio tests in this version.
All of these were measured from the analog output of a Toshiba A1 with no speaker adjustments.
