Any info on Samsung 71-series?

A couple people on these forums have briefly mentioned the upcoming Samsung 71-series LCD, but I can't seem to find any other threads or websites with detailed info. From the little I've read, it sounds like it will be a 1080p LCD with 120MHz. Do we know any more info? When is it expected to be released?

Thanks, but it is almost entirely people salivating over the 81-series. That's the thread I was referring to in my original post. I was hoping people had more info.

I believe the 71 and the 81 panels would come out the same time, just like the 61/65/66 came out at the same time last month. The question is whether they will be out in July or not until October for the next holiday shopping season!

noob question here, but why would samsung release 2 series of LCDs in one year? Do that do that every year?

Supposedly the 71/81s are going to be higher-end and of limited quantity. More $$$ and not for everyone.

Apparently, Sammy said the 81 with be limited quantity. That's because LED BLU is immature and expensive. (There's a good article in the LCD Technology thread.)

The 71 will be Sammy's new 120Hz with, as with others, better color. Motion interpolation is complex and the VP driving these TVs will be IMO the deciding factor. Sharp's 92 VP comes up short.
