Just wondering if anybody had any feedback on the JVC JXS777 AV Selector. It has a bunch of composite and s-video ins and outs, as well as 2 component video ins, one component video out and three firewire input/output connections. I have been looking at different pre/pros and found that most of the high-end models don't have switching. Was wondering if anyone had any experience with the JVC since I definitely do not want to compromise picture or sound quality, Specs are below.

I have used the previous model, no component video, JVC A/V swicher for years. I've hooked up VCR, DVD, Laserdisc, Intendo, and camcorder to the JVC and I not seen any lose in picture quality from any of the inputs. For the DVD and Laserdisc players, I do not use the audio inputs. They go directly to the pre/amp processor. It has also made using the system much more simplified for my kids and my wife. I recommend it highly.

Thanks for the feedback. Nice to hear that the older model has been working well. However, I am most concerned (for obvious reasons, with the quality of the switching on component video. Like you, I don't plan on using the audio switching much - those can go directly into the pre/pro.
