Help-Subwoofer not coming on. Need advise

Hi there,
I have a Klipsch KSW 10 Sub. A have noticed recently that the sub does not come on sometimes. I have it set to auto. It has always worked perfectly and right away kicks on with the green light when needed. I see when it does not come on, the light is green ...not red... which is what I would think . I try flipping it on and off which does nothing. But by unplugging it and simply plugging it back in again....bam...on it goes instantly. Could it be the plug in my surge protector that is in someway faulty? I just plugged the sub directly into the wall outlet, and will see if this solves the problem, but does anyone have an idea what it might be?

Many Thanks

try lowering the gain on the subwoofer's amp and increasing the subwoofer output in your receiver.

Thanks Jon. I had tried that last week. Thought it was the solution, and then bam it did not come on again. I just don't get why unplugging it , and plugging it back it solves it?

Does it still do this when you set the subwoofer to be on at all times (not auto).
