B) I've got them
1 - Sin City
2 - Batman Begins
3 - X-Men 2
4 - Spider-Man 2

Me too, I'm hoping Warner will do what Paramount did with MI1 and MI2 and release them seperately later on.

Reckon it must be 99% certain that it'll happen. Only a matter of time.

Probably millions that just want the first film and don't care for the others

Of course they will, because they will sell and they can make more money!

I also only want the first movie. I don't care if the price gets to $XX per movie, I don't want to pay for the other two.

It's gone now. I didn't get it because I already ordered from Amazon and was not letting my order go. But Amazon still has it at $62.95 shipped.

I will take the last 2 from any of the crybabies at $12 each shipped. Then I could wait until the The Matrix comes out to pick it up by itself.

Don't say that, everything looks so nice on my self right now. Warner, please give each movie its own elite red case like Paramount did for MI.

Well even with dislike for the second two movies, the idea of the TrueHD soundtrack and the expected PQ should put people over the edge instantly. I mean think about the Agent Smith fight in the 2nd, the freeway chase, or the Sentinal Raid and final fight in the 3rd, and going to the machine world too, I mean there is going to be such an insane amount of demo scenes in the 2nd in 3rd, definatly more then the first.

So in that case, it seems unlikely you could buy them seperately unless someone really wants to buy HD DVD cases for the discs. I don't know why anyone would want to split it up anyway because without the first film it would be hard to sell the others. Anyone who wants the sequels obviously wants the first one too.

Since people have tried to sell everything from air, to souls to human organs on eBay I'm saying a loose Matrix HD DVD or one in a generic case isn't out of the question.

Not that into the latter 2 movies, but for $63 for the whole collection, it's not that big of a deal. The first film in HD will be amazing, but 2 and 3 will be great if only for the eye-candy. I'll be picking up this set for sure.
Its just the third one thats silly. Besides I'm sure when the Matrix is released by itself as a Combo. It will be like $30.

Its not worth the wait.

People are still waiting for the first Matrix (re-mastered) on DVD, and you folks think you're getting it on HD DVD anytime soon? Hah! Just forget about these movies and move on to something else.

You didn't know that The Matrix has a firm release date for May 22 for HD DVD?
(It's actually the whole trilogy)

Some have already shipped.

Wow, talk about a misunderstanding.
All I can say is that any Matrix fan who'd pass on this because he can't get "only one" of the trilogy is clearly in need of medical attention!

??

Give in, film freak... submit to your desires... you KNOOOW you want The Matrix in 1080p and TruHD lossless audio! come... join us... be one with the HD-hood (cue organ music and "mwahahahaaa..." )
Even if you hate 2 and 3 there is still going to be plenty of beautiful HD eye candy and surround audio... like the invasion of Zion or the Superman-esque Neo/Smith storm battle in 3 for example. Some people will find that to be enough. If you are not one of them, no big deal, just wait and I am sure they will release individual editions eventually.
If anyone doesn't want the 2nd or 3rd Matrix just EBay 'em. There's enough Matrix obsessed people to purchased whether they are playable in their DVD player or not.

Revolutions is incoherent. But never the less it would be nice for completions sake.

As long as they dont ask me to pay for the SD versions I already own.
Yeah. I just want the original as well.

The sequels never existed!

That's not correct. Warner Europe will be releasing the Matrix movies separately.

Djoel

You can actually watch that scene in HD right now, provided you have "Bullit" on HD DVD.

There is a documetary about film cutting on that disc. It´s in 1080p and one of the first scenes in it is Trinity crahsing into the guard hub!
for me matrix 1 will be around 25 euro. no shipping costs needed since i live in holland at this moment. compare that to 70 bucks when the trilogy has to come over from the usa.

besides i already have the sd ultimate 10 discs collection of the matrix at home.

who wants all those same extras again on the hd-dvd releases? why not release the hd-dvd version with 1080p extras? then it would have actually been worth the money.

also rjdam, if there is 1 here on this forums that needs medical attention, well actually that would be 2. you and beatboy could fight that out
post #58 of 58
I must be the only one who only wants the 2nd one LOL!.. don't know why,.. can't stand 1 and 3..
