Nvidia driver help

I had enough with Vista crashing and went back to XP MCE. I installed the newest drivers for my 8800GTX card, but am having issues. When switching resolutions my monitor is not reading the changes. I want it at 1440x900 but when I set that in Windows the picture is very soft and the monitor shows it as 1280x1024. I tried switching to a few different resolutions and it's not showing up correctly on my monitor. I've never had an issue before, anyone have any ideas?

Apparently I wasn't the only one with this issue. It took me hours of searching and even tried reinstalling XP again for this to work.

Well we need to know whcih version of the drivers you are using.

I found some 165.01 beta drivers for 64-bit Vista that are working quite a bit better than any Vista version yet though I suspect it would not stack up to the XP drivers yet...

You might be able to go back to Vista by years end...
