I have the same wooden TV tray table. I would not trust it to hold the wheel and monitor when the action gets tense tho.

its my "ghetto Obutto cockpit"...can't afford the $350 original...but I do have a coffee table haha.

It is surprisingly stable...oh and the monitor is not heavy.

Yeah I'm loving the cockpit view now...never appreciated the cockpit on my 17" dell I can turn off the HUD and use the speedometer and tachometer on the dash.

Man I can't get enough of the gt pro Koeniggsegg cockpit.
