I ordered a 4665f from Amazon on 5/25, and the estimated delivery is June 11-20 which has not changed. Got the Oppo 981HD yesterday, can't wait to use it.

LN-T4661, 1016-1004 - purchased from Amazon May 3rd
I have had no HDMI problems(knock on wood).

I would think w/ the number of sets sold AND of those people who come to these forums AND are posting w/ problems - 1% may be right.

It'll still make sense to install the firmware upgrade when one comes out...

I am looking to get a mount for my 4061f, the Samsung website says it is just VESA compatibile. I have never bought an LCD mount before, but I thought there were specific sizes for the mounts. Like 200x200 or 400x600.

Does anyone know which screw pattern will fit this TV?

Thanks.

My 5265 arrived last night. Manufactured date May 2007. Keeper set! Blu-ray & 360 looks killer great. I have to adjust the settings for the dish receiver. Picture looked bland...

The pattern is Vesa 600 x 400. I'm using a peerless arm mount with their universal adaptor for my 4665 and it works great. I needed to use a couple of spacers (included with the bracket) between the bracket and the TV, as the screw holes are a little recessed.

When I turn the TV on, it appears to be resetting itself 3-5 times before it comes on. The standby light is lit, goes out, set clicks, standby light returns, goers out, set clicks, etc. Other than it be annoying to have to wait, no other problems. But I have a feeling this is a symptom of something bigger yet to come. Any ideas?

How about the people who exchanged their sets because of problems and getting another set with problems again. What are the chances?

Clearly those people need to learn patience and wait for the firmware upgrade to be released.

The couple of Samsung employees I have talked to about this have been super helpful...and I haven't even received the set yet. Maybe I'll feel differently once I set it up and start experiencing the same issues.

did you order from amzn* and if so approx. when did you submit the order? i have a 5265f due to arrive from amzn* early next week. i ordered 05/25 and am really hoping I get a set manufactured in May as well to increase my odds of having updated FW.

5265 delivered May 5 from Amazon's Reno Warehouse:

T-TULPAUS0-1024, Apr 6 2007 10:05:46
T-TULPAUS5-1008 CS[0A46][52(AMW)-inch)

Using:

Scientific Atlanta 8300HD
Oppo DV 981HD
Onkyo DX-C390 CD Changer
Dennon AVR 1906
Harmony 880 Remote

Both the SciAtl 8300 and the Oppo are connected via HDMI. The SciAtl 8300 on HDMI2 and the Oppo on HDMI1.

almost 4 weeks of use and, so far, performance has been flawless.

No, I ordered mine through one call. I pricematched it with amazon though. Good luck.

The reason why 1% seemed wrong to me was because several people came to this site prior to buying, discussed which to buy, then purchased. Most of those who got the earlier boards have had problems. That means either the percentage in the general population is much higher, or we at AVS who consult before buying are very unlucky.

I do not have the set yet, so I am not sure what menu it is in. Maybe someone else can comment. I would assume it is in a menu that gives set information, such as serial number.

His point was if it is 1% of the sets affected, then what are the chances that someone will get the 2 out of 200 sets that are defective? I don't think the 1% is even close. The number of people who actually come to this site is a very small percentage of the population, and if you look at the Poll thread for these sets, at least 20% report having HDMI issue. Now extrapolate that to the entire population and I think the numbers are much higher. I'm sure there are people sitting at home not realizing that the green/pink flashes and the "WEAK OR NO SIGNAL" message is a defect.

It is good that Samsung is working on a fix, it would be even better if they did release a statement on their website so that customers know that they are taking care of it. I think folks will still buy the sets knowing that it is an intermetent problem with a easy workaround - and the problem will be correctable.

HDgloryhog, can you be so kind as to post what your board and firmware is on your set?

Austin,

Make sure you keep tracking your package and call Eagle as soon as it arrives near you. If you don't call and make an appointment, your package will sit there for a few extra days. Who knows, you may be able to receive it this week.

I'll check it as soon as I get home today. Was too busy playing Gears of War last night.

I have seen this advice before and my initial question is, where do I locate the contact phone # for Eagle? I did not see it on any of the online tracking info provided by Amzn*, although it is still in transit.

I did a quick google search for eagle shipping and found a few sites but I'm not sure which one is mine. One of them looked sketchy, like a 10 year old made the site...god i hope this isn't them... http://www.eagle-shipping.co.il/

30% is my guess, especially with the earlier batches.

The Eagle website is eaglegl.com. Their phone number is 1-800-888-4949.

Thanks guys. I really appreciate all of your responses.
I would like to order the LN-T5265f from Amazon but would like to return it if it is defective and incur no shipping costs and get a full refund and then purchase the same set from J&R, which is currently out of stock and will have a shipment coming in around late June. Can this be done? What do you guys think?
I would like to know if Amazon is shipping the LN-T5265F with the 1024/1008 firmware/hardware combination that is arguably not giving anybody any problems? Can anybody confirm this please?

Thanks
