My 65HMDLP has always worked great. Have 3 years on original bulb and just got another one since we figured it was about at the end of life. We started to notice about a month ago, that when turning it the set on, the blue light comes on, and the yellow light flashes. Usually just 3 times and then the picture comes on, but last night, it went 8 times, and the screen never lit which, according to the manual, means there is a bulb problem. Unplugged and turned on again, it took just 3 flashes and was up. Once the bulb is on, the pictures is bright and gorgeous. I am a tech idiot, and hope you good people can help me out. Is it the thing called the ballast do you thinK? Do you have to have a technician come over and fix it and about how much...money is very tight due to a layoff, but our TV is our only entertainment and will go stir crazy without it. Are there any diagrams on how to replace it yourself?? PLEASE HELP!!
