The sub is about 11ft from the listening position and it rocks the room. Fantastic improvement in SPL, SQ, and LFE over my previous 10" sub. I am tempted to get another, but I don't need to get one like I definitely needed to replace my previous sub. It was an OMG moment when I listened to my first bass heavy bluray from the The New Master List of BASS in Movies with Frequency Charts with the EX.

At $549 for the EX shipped, it's hard to imagine that the SVS subs would offer any significant improvement in performance that would make them worth the extra price.

Have you been able to take any readings from your listening location to see what kind of SPL and in room FR you are achieving? I think know that will help me decide if one will suffice or if I need to go with two. Thanks!

I also plan on trying to use the REL T-3 I already have as a MBM but haven't decided on placement or how I am going to run it yet...

Sorry. No data. It's such a dramatic improvement over my previous sub that I'm very happy with it. I never anticipated the level of improvement for HT. It was a complete surprise. Since your REL is a 150watt 8", I suspect you'll be equally if not more surprised.

No special power requirements...you should be fine.

i gotta admit, im a little annoyed that i payed $25 more for a B-stock EX unit (albeit in perfect condition) less than a month ago.

My home is an open floor plan so the entire volume of the house is in play.
The sub sounds good and it has a tactile presence.
Does it pressurize the space and kick you in the chest, no.
So will it work in your room ?? It all depends on what you want. If you require bass that pressurizes the room to the point that it can make you feel ill... well there is no 12 inch sub that can do that.
In my opinion yes it will work fine but I hate to be definitive and then you end up being disappointed.

Surely you knew the sub goes on sale two, three, four times a year before you bought the B stock unit.
Even if you had bought the sub at MSRP there would be no reason to be annoyed.
You simply got ready to make your purchase and took the best deal available on the sub you wanted.

You still got a good deal. Great time to add another one and see what all the fuss on multiples is about!

Please don't tempt me.

I bought mine about a week or so before Test123455. And I don't mind that I paid $25 more for the b-stock. It has been well worth having!

I just ordered mine 5 mins ago. They might be getting pounded. Confirmed the order with Scott from Outlaw and gave him my forum user id since I forgot to add it.

I am now a proud owner of an Outlaw LFM 1-EX!

Got one too! Facebook said to order between "now" and 1 PM 10/18 (tomorrow) and I was able to order without any issues. That was before 1 EST today.

I ordered an EX, too. I can't wait!

Thanks to everyone here and especially to cel4145, who patiently answered my questions & pms earlier about his experience with the Outlaw. His positive experience pushed me toward Outlaw because of the great value. I'm upgrading from a Hsu STF-2 (which is in my bedroom system now and is a great sub), but I needed a bigger sub for the HT room. I was close to the Rythmik that was on sale, or Hsu VTF-3, but this sale price on the Outlaw finally made me pull the trigger.

Anyone know how long is usually takes to ship out an order? I wonder, with the sale and large amount of orders, if I can expect it to arrive before the week is over. I'm in Calif.

Thanks laugsbach.

BTW, the timing of your post was uncanny. I just this second finished reading your posts (via the links in your signature). Good reading. I had been wondering how that eD model would stack up against the Outlaw. Also bookmarked your MO vs ME post. Very informative especially once my Outlaw arrives.

I spoke to them because I didn't put in my user name and they said typically they ship in 2-3 days. Depending on stock of course, I had my order in @12:30 eastern, so I am hoping I am one of the first orders.

Ah, good to know, Thanks Havok. I placed my order around 1:15 EST. Hopefully I'm not that far down the queue.

Try it first then add one if necessary. Here are the LFM 1-EX dimensions and weight.

Dimensions: (HxWxD) 22.75" x 17" x 24 "
Weight: 80 lbs
The gramma is the one you'd want for the EX (if you need it).

Congrats everyone! Has anyone received any emails beyond the initial order confirmation and/or a credit card auth on their accounts yet?

Not yet, but Scott from Outlaw said they were processing my order when I called to add my user. Just got X-Men first class from Netflix. Can't wait.
Congrats to all you guys with the new sub on the way

Be sure to come back and share your impressions when you get it setup.
Does Outlaw have these sales often, or is this a one time thing?

Also does the LFM 1 Plus ever go on sale? Or will we have to wait for Black Friday for that?
^^
Outlaw usually runs a sale 2 to 3 times a year on LFM subs...IIRC, this was the first time they did a "pick your promotion" promotion. The plus usually goes on sale at the same time as the EX...
I see.. Thanks for the info
Anyone think that the LFM 1-EX would be a decent match to go with my SVS PC12?
I did it, I ordered the EX!!!
